Case Study: Garlic Fest


Garlic Fest, the premier food and entertainment event in South Florida, has been called “The Best Stinkin’ Party in Town” for the past thirteen years, and with good reason! Delray Beach Garlic Fest was founded by a group of locals hoping to raise funds for non-profit organizations catering to education and the arts for youth. So far, over $350,000 has been donated and each year this number continues to grow.

In an attempt to reach more of the local community, Garlic Fest hired RealTime Marketing Group to develop a customized plan intended to spread the word about their annual charitable event through the use of social media.

In addition to a series of custom landing pages and an optimized profile picture, RealTime created a custom coupon that offered fans of the page 50% off admission for a limited time only. Through the use of Facebook Ads and users sharing with their friends, the tab received 3,244 views, and more than 900 users printed the coupon which could be redeemed at the event.

Before joining RealTime, Garlic Fest had a total of 578 fans on Facebook. This number has grown 453% to an incredible 3,194 local fans (as of 2/6/12) in just over 4 weeks. Additionally, the page boasts an average weekly reach of nearly 150,000 unique local users.
